Ground Improvement Solutions
In soils with bearing capacity and/or consolidation issues, soil improvement methods are required to ensure the safety of the superstructure to be built, and these methods are used to modify the physical and mechanical properties of the soil. In soil improvement applications, geosynthetics are often insufficient on their own and are used in conjunction with conventional methods (for the purpose of distributing and/or reducing loads on the improved soil). In cohesive soils with consolidation issues, wick drains (band drains) have been used in our country and around the world for many years to accelerate time-dependent settlements.
