SandMax DCM is a three-layer geocomposite material developed to protect slopes or constructed structures in challenging field conditions. It contains enriched quartz sand and is combined with nonwoven geotextiles.
SandMax DCM's protection performance comes from the weight provided by the quartz sand within its structure. The mat settles onto the applied surface under its own mass and creates resistance against surface movement caused by currents, waves or rainfall. The nonwoven geotextile layers hold the sand fill in place while also acting as a filter, allowing water to pass through but preventing the migration of fine grained material from the subsoil.
