Hydraulic Structures
Dams, reservoirs, irrigation ponds, canals and river beds exist for one purpose — to hold water in place — yet they are constantly exposed to seepage, hydrostatic pressure, wave action and erosion. A hydraulic structure that cannot retain its design capacity, or whose banks are gradually washed away, loses both its economic value and its safety margin over time.
Geomas geosynthetic solutions combine geosynthetic clay liners and geomembranes to form a continuous, low-permeability barrier across the base and slopes of the structure. This sealing layer prevents water loss, keeps the reservoir at its intended capacity and protects surrounding groundwater and soil from contamination — a permanent, cost-effective alternative to rigid concrete linings that crack and age.
On canal banks, riverbeds and coastlines, moving water and seasonal level changes trigger scour and slope instability. High-strength woven and nonwoven geotextiles, SandMax slope-protection geocomposites and erosion-control mats stabilize these surfaces against the shear forces of flowing water, while drainage geocomposites relieve hydrostatic pressure behind the barrier.
Every hydraulic structure differs in its hydrology, soil profile and exposure. That is why we design each system around the project's geotechnical and hydraulic data rather than a fixed catalog. Our nature-based solutions protect coastlines and waterways against natural forces while delivering long service life. The result: a watertight, durable and environmentally responsible hydraulic structure.
Waterproofing Solutions
- Seals dams, ponds and canals against water loss.
- Keeps reservoirs at their intended capacity.
- Protects groundwater and soil from contamination.
- Resists scour and erosion on banks and coastlines.
- Stabilizes slopes and riverbeds under flowing water.
- Relieves hydrostatic pressure through controlled drainage.
- Replaces rigid concrete linings with flexible, lasting barriers.
- Adapts to each site's hydrology and soil conditions.
Products
BentoShield's leakproof technology effectively combines the unique swelling performance of sodium bentonite granules or bentonite powder with two high-strength geotextiles.
TechTex C, yüksek mukavvemetli %100 saf polipropilen liflerin iğnelenmesi ile meydana gelen ısıl işlem görmüş siyah renkte örgüsüz geotekstil malzemelerdir.
HighTex products are flat woven geotextile fabrics produced by weaving high-strength special multifilament polyester fibers in the weaving direction and in the opposite direction to the weaving direction.
The GeoDrain product family is a composite material consisting of a polymer drainage core combined with a nonwoven geotextile that provides protection and filtration on one or both sides.
TechGrid© are high-strength and extremely flexible geogrids with a proven track record in soil reinforcement. They are coated with PVC or PVA depending on the soil structure where they will be used.
SandMax DCM is a three-layer geocomposite material developed to protect slopes or constructed structures in challenging field conditions. It contains enriched quartz sand and is combined with nonwoven geotextiles.
