GeoMat R
GeoMat R is a high performance geosynthetic in which the interlocking filaments of a three dimensional polyamide erosion control mat are reinforced with a high strength polyester geogrid. GeoMat R combines the surface protection of a standard erosion control mat with the tensile strength of a geogrid. While the three dimensional filament structure holds seed and soil in place and supports the development of vegetation, the polyester geogrid integrated into the structure gives the surface tensile strength. This allows the product to be used on steep slopes and in applications with high surface stress where a standard mat would not be sufficient. Since erosion control and surface reinforcement are provided within a single layer, there is no need for a two stage application with separate products.
