Cortex© is a polyurethane based liquid waterproofing coating that forms an elastic and UV resistant film on the surface to which it is applied.
Cortex© has been developed for use on exposed terrace and roof surfaces. Once cured, the film retains its elasticity even under direct sunlight and accommodates the expansion and contraction movements caused by temperature changes. Because it is applied in liquid form it takes the shape of the surface slope and detail geometry, creating an uninterrupted layer at points such as drain surrounds and parapet upstands. On surfaces that are not covered with an overlying finish, this structure prevents water from penetrating into the building while the coating itself also acts as a protective layer.
