These products are used in construction projects requiring waterproofing and impermeability. The primary purpose of geosynthetic clay liners is to reduce water permeability and prevent water from penetrating the structure. Sodium bentonite granules have a high water absorption capacity. When these granules come into contact with water, they swell and form a barrier within the structure, preventing water from passing
