Geogrid

Geogrid products are geosynthetic materials used to reinforce soils, asphalt, and similar materials. Geogrids are typically used to reinforce retaining walls as well as the foundation or sub-base beneath roads or structures. Compared to soil, geogrids are strong in terms of tension. This allows them to transfer forces acting on the soil over a wider area and counteract the stresses, thereby increasing the soil's bearing capacity. Geogrids are usually made from polymer materials such as polyester, polyvinyl alcohol, polyethylene, or polypropylene. Geogrids can be woven or knitted from yarns, or welded from material strips using heat or lasers.
